Visioning for the
100-year Plan
In 2001 Kennecott Land initiated a large-scale planning effort to analyze the development potential for the 93,000-acre Kennecott Utah Copper landholding in Salt Lake and Tooele Counties. Psomas and three other firms jointly produced the West Bench Master Plan.
As project manager, Psomas led the team in the visioning process, site and carrying capacity analysis, programming, land planning/master plan, and prepared the SOM Strategic Plan. Psomas also evaluated the required infrastructure systems and produced long-range phasing plan with a 130+ year build-out timeline.
