Multi-Use Bridge

This 400-foot long pedestrian and bike bridge over the Los Angeles River connects the existing LA River Bikeway to the surrounding communities. The bridge will be integrated into the historic “Red Car” line foundation structures currently in the LA River to create a link between the past, present, and future. The innovative design for the bridge supports will re-use pilings and footings constructed for the original Los Angeles streetcar system “Red Car” line.

Psomas is providing environmental clearance, hydraulic analysis, and final design for the project.
