Glendale/Hyperion Complex of Bridges Traffic Study

This circa 1930s Complex of Bridges no longer meets seismic codes and may collapse during an earthquake event. In addition to preserving and restoring the bridges—listed on the State Historic Register—the city intends to improve traffic safety, promote pedestrian safety and accessibility to the neighborhood, and enhance the river environment.

Psomas was retained to provide comprehensive traffic engineering and transportation planning services including vehicular and pedestrian traffic demands, posted speeds, traffic calming measures, median barrier, crosswalk locations, and alternative layouts.
