American Fork Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Station Area Plan

Psomas was hired to update the American Fork Station Area Plan compliant with updated state requirements for station areas. Our team helped stakeholders simplify the issues to root causes to better collaborate on possible solutions for the area. After the public engagement process was complete a preferred scenario was crafted. A future concept of the transportation system was developed including converting Pioneer Crossing to an expressway with grade separated interchanges and better connectivity for all modes to the Station. A key takeaway from this project has been to understand the root causes and unspoken goals of the differing parties to better reach a preferred scenario that accomplishes their spoken and unspoken goals.
