Alta East Wind Project
Habitat Restoration for 300-Megawatt Project
This project generates over 300 megawatts of electricity through wind power within the Tehachapi region in Kern County as a component of the one of the largest wind farms in the United States.
The environmental process required the re-establishment of desert habitat at temporary disturbance areas associated with construction activities. The restoration of native species has been monitored for five years by Psomas biologists to document the success of the habitat restoration and weed control program.
