Walnut Pump Station
Modern Upgrade for a Historic Pump Station
Containing infrastructure circa 1956, this upgrade was designed with sustainability at the forefront, earning the Envision Bronze rating from the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure.
Water from three wells is pumped into the station’s 7 MG buried reservoir and then to the City’s distribution system by five existing outdoor booster pumps. The new pump station includes a meter room, bridge crane system, a workshop room with an overhead monorail, as well as upgraded electrical infrastructure.
