Solar Star 1 and 2

One of the largest solar power plants in the world at 3,230 acres, Solar Star will have the capacity to power 25,000 homes. Since the 579 MW capacity site is located on land that straddles the Los Angeles and Kern County line, it required approval from two jurisdictions. Psomas’ knowledge of jurisdictional requirements, coupled with innovative solutions, allowed the project to move efficiently through the initial approval and final design permitting.

Psomas provided hydrology and floodplain analysis, stormwater low impact development implementation, road and access design, SWPPP documentation, and construction support services.
