February 15, 2023 – Psomas is pleased to announce Ramon Ruelas, PE, has joined the firm as Senior Project Manager to expand the company’s transportation practice in California.
“Ramon is one of the leading project and construction management professionals on the West Coast,” said Brett Barnett, Project/Construction Management Team Leader. “He brings robust rail and roadway transportation experience, including the recently delivered, award-winning Mid-Coast Corridor Light Rail project via the CMGC delivery method. We are thrilled to have Ramon onboard.”
With over 35 years of professional transportation industry experience, Ramon most recently served as a Director for the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG), where he managed numerous key initiatives, including the delivery of all Mid-Coast Corridor projects—valued at over $2 billion—from completion of construction through operation.
Prior to his tenure at SANDAG, Ramon successfully served in various leadership roles for Caltrans – District 11, where he helped to deliver the district’s largest and most complex construction contract (I-15/40th Street) valued at $63 million and successfully completed up to 16 capital improvement projects with a combined capital budget of approximately $300 million.
