Environmental Compliance Support for License Surrender
Owned and operated by Southern California Edison (SCE), the San Gorgonio Hydroelectric Project has been diverting waters of the San Gorgonio River (and tributaries) above the City of Banning since 1911 and began generating power in 1922. In 2004 SCE began the process of petitioning FERC to surrender its license to generate electricity at the facility.
Psomas is providing a host of environmental compliance support services to SCE for the license surrender project including: conducting general biological resource surveys, conducting surveys for listed and sensitive plants and animals, consulting with resource agencies, and preparing the FERC Surrender Documents and supporting reports.
