Blueprint for Expansion of LAX

The Los Angeles International Airport Master Plan is a blueprint for the expansion of LAX to increase airport capacity above the current 61 million annual passengers to accommodate continued growth in air travel. In addition to development of an entitlement strategy for one of the largest and most regionally significant public works projects in Los Angeles, Psomas is also providing technical engineering and survey support in the form of design, mapping, GIS and environmental services.

As part of the entitlement effort, Psomas established a task force of city staff to integrate and coordinate all project requirements in a timely and efficient manner. All other agency requirements at the regional, state and federal levels were coordinated and integrated within this local framework.

A mitigation-phasing program developed by Psomas provides the environmental framework for completing the proposed mitigation measures in a satisfactory and feasible manner during Master Plan construction.
