EchoWater Project
Taking Wastewater Treatment to a New Level
New stringent treatment and river discharge (NPDES) requirements from the State of California necessitated upgrades to this wastewater plant built in the 1970’s. Psomas is providing construction management/administration services on the two largest projects in the EchoWater program.
The 18-acre Biological Nutrient Removal/Primary Effluent Pump Station will provide a new treatment process. It consists of eight basins designed to remove nearly all of the nitrogen (nutrients) from the effluent. The Tertiary Treatment Facilities (TTF) will provide treatment to meet Title 22 disinfection requirements.
