Monterey One Water
Advancing the Usage of Different Water Sources
Monterey One Water (M1W) is committed to providing its constituents with a reliable, clean, safe, and sustainable source of water. M1W, along with the Monterey Peninsula Water Management District (MPWMD), is in the process of designing and constructing the Pure Water Monterey Groundwater Replenishment Program.
M1W’s Source Water Diversion Facilities Project is part of this program. The purpose of this project is to create recycled water for agricultural use and is divided into two parts:
- The Blanco Drain Diversion Pump Station is a new station that will include 8,350 linear feet of pipeline that will be used to capture storm water and farm fields’ runoff water from Blanco Drain in Marina, CA.
- The Reclamation Ditch Diversion Pump Station is a new channel intake and pumping structure that will divert wash water from industrial food preparation facilities in the City of Salinas to M1W’s regional treatment facility.
Psomas is providing construction management and inspection services for the construction of both structures.
