Project Manager
Engineering
Tucson Office
My motivation to become a civil engineer started many years ago during a high school career day. A civil engineer gave a presentation about his job and I thought the projects he worked on sounded pretty cool. I decided to go to the University of Arizona and get a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. In fact, I interned at the company that is now Psomas when I was in college.
I’ve now been with the company for 16 years. As a project manager in the Civil Engineering Group, I work on everything from small 20- to 80-lot residential projects, all the way up to large master-planned communities. One of the best parts of my job is helping owners/developers figure out the best use of their land and get through the permitting process.
I also love helping my team members increase their knowledge so they can further their careers. It makes a huge difference in the workplace atmosphere when you like the people on your team. We have a strong group here in Tucson and all get along really well.
Of course life is not all work. I’m busy with my family and in my spare time I love to read and I’m into soccer, softball, boxing and CrossFit.
