About the Psomas Paper Yacht Challenge

Pint-sized Yachts – Titanic Rewards!

Since 2008, the Psomas Paper Yacht Challenge has been combining ingenuity, paper, water, and wind to raise money for wonderful causes. Each year, the downtown Los Angeles event donates 100% of the proceeds to a local charity. Over $100,000 has been raised! Thank you to everyone who has donated, folded, volunteered, and cheered.

Along with the race, participants compete in a nautical costume contest, enjoy live entertainment, eat tasty treats from local participating restaurants, and bid on silent auction items.

Yacht Challenge 2013All of the money raised benefits a different charity each year:

The event takes place at City National Plaza Fountain, at 5th and Flower Streets in Downtown Los Angeles.
