VA Sierra Nevada Medical Center

Patient-centered care model principles are being incorporated throughout this expanded hospital and new clinic at the VA Sierra Nevada Medical Center in Reno. The renovations will improve seismic, life safety, infrastructure/utility, and energy efficiency at the hospital, as well as combine outpatient and clinical programs into a new 158,000 SF state-of-the-art facility.

Psomas provided civil engineering and land surveying including utility design and coordination, parking and roadway design, site work for the expansion, and drainage design. Sustainability is a high priority for the project, which will pursue LEED Gold certification.
