Extensive Drainage and Traffic Challenges

Rocking K Ranch is a 5,000-acre master-planned community in southeast Tucson which was once an active cattle ranch. It adjoins the 66,947-acre Saguaro National Park East. This high-desert community in the Sonoran Desert will include parks, schools, resorts, golf courses, villages, and a commercial complex.

Psomas prepared the specific plan for the southern portion of this project is presently preparing the first phase of development, which includes 3,677 home sites on 2,045 acres. Of the 2,045 acres, 648 acres will be community natural open space. Psomas has completed design of five miles of off-site sewer and three miles of off-site roadways necessary to serve the project.

Psomas prepared the final master block plat and on-site infrastructure plans for phase one development. The scope of work included project administration, block site planning, delineation and platting, a sewer basin study, a hydrology addendum, and on-site sewer, street, and water plans.
