Riverside Community College District
Utility Infrastructure and Accessibility Improvements (ADA)
To improve access to job training and four-year college preparatory classes, the $350-million Measure C was passed by the voters to provide improvements at all three RCCD college campuses including Riverside City, Norco and Moreno Valley.
In preparation for their development program, RCCD selected Psomas to prepare Utility Infrastructure Master Plans and Americans with Disabilities (ADA) transition plans for all three campuses.
First was an evaluation of the academic master plans, the existing utility systems, and the proposed building improvements. Psomas then partnered with the District and campus stakeholders to develop utility upgrade and construction phasing scenarios that served the needs of the campuses while respecting the nature of “living, breathing campuses.”
ADA assessments and facilities reports of each campus’ building and site facilities were then prepared. Logical and prioritized improvement strategies were developed that allowed the campuses to make critical facility upgrades most efficiently.
