Affordable Housing as a Catalyst for Revitalization

Redevelopment of this vacant site in the Harbor area of Los Angeles will provide much-needed attractive and affordable housing and serve as a catalyst for revitalization of the neighborhood and Wilmington community.

As a part of a team, Psomas provided entitlements and a full range of engineering services for the $50-million redevelopment project designed with many “green” features. The residential component of this project includes 412 dwelling units in a variety of apartments, townhomes, and single-family homes.

In addition, the site plan incorporates a number of community amenities to serve the residents of New Dana Strand and the surrounding neighborhood. These include a 5,000 SF childcare facility with five classrooms and a one-story, 10,000 SF lifelong learning center with six classrooms.
