Subsurface Athletic Field Detention/Retention Facilities

Due to overcrowding, the Amphitheatre School District built the Ironwood Ridge High School on the northwest side of the city. The project includes athletic fields, tennis courts, baseball and football fields, and an 800-space parking lot.

As a part of a teamPsomas provided the civil engineering services for this 72-acre school site including schematic design, design development, and construction documents. Plans were prepared for grading, roadway design, sanitary sewer, water systems and storm drain.

Storm drain plans were developed for both site drainage and athletic field subsurface drainage. A hydrology report was prepared and design of detention/retention facilities completed.
