Preserving Historical/Architectural Integrity of Landmark
The 100-year old Beverly Hills Hotel and Bungalows underwent an extensive renovation. Psomas was retained to provide the civil engineering and surveying services.
The civil engineering services for this 12-acre site included horizontal control, grading, drainage and utilities. In an effort to improve the facilities without losing the historical/architectural integrity of this landmark, detailed physical surveying of the building’s exterior elevations, roof, and interiors was done in addition to boundary, ALTA, topographic, and design surveys.
The hotel decreased the number of rooms from 261 to 210 and increased the number of parking spaces from 429 to 692, adding a new subterranean garage and service facility.
