Senior Project Manager/Planner
Salt Lake City
After getting my Masters Degree at Utah State University in landscape architecture & environmental planning, my wife and I decided to move to Southern California, where I went to work for The Planning Center (now PlaceWorks). There I met and worked closely with a number of Psomas people on several projects. Eventually I moved back to Utah and joined Psomas’ Salt Lake office in 2013.
The projects I work on are large-scale master-planned communities. I love problem solving and figuring out the best solution for a given community. I am intrigued by the intricacies of the development process—the challenge of creating a solution that derives a profit for the developer and meets the needs of the community at the same time. Right now I’m working on the 180-acre Legacy Farms project for DR Horton, America’s biggest builder. I’m also writing a form-based code for Wasatch County to regulate development of the 5,000-acre North Village Overlay District.
It’s important to me that at Psomas it is easy to connect with even the highest levels of leadership. Psomas feels like a family. It makes for a great working environment, both professionally and personally.
