Psomas is pleased to announce the acquisition of Bay Area construction management firm Covello.
“The people at Covello are a perfect fit with our own construction management group,” said Psomas CEO and President Ryan McLean in making the announcement. “We have known and worked with them for years, building a strong relationship through partnering on projects.”
“This acquisition is a win for our clients and Covello,” added Gary Skrel, Covello president. “We will have a deeper bench of construction management professionals and a wide array of additional resources to serve our clients in engineering, survey and environmental studies.”
Covello’s specialization in managing construction of water resources infrastructure projects has produced an industry-leading company. The acquisition is in line with Psomas’ goal of geographic growth in the San Francisco Bay Area, where the firm has been working for several years. The acquisition of Covello not only enhances Psomas’ construction management capabilities, it also strengthens the company’s water resources portfolio and provides the firm with a base to expand into a full-service Bay Area presence.
Founded in 1994, Covello is a construction management firm focusing on water resource projects throughout Northern California. The firm features one of the largest concentrations of recycled water, wastewater and potable water construction management professionals in the Bay Area. Covello’s 35 employees are based in offices in Walnut Creek, San Rafael and Santa Cruz.
