Coronado Roundabout Improvements

Upgrading a Complicated Roundabout

The oversized and unusually configured intersection of Pomona Avenue, 7th Street, and Adella Avenue required updates to improve safety and resident access. Located along a heavily traveled road, it is adjacent to a public park, provides direct access to homes, and is traveled by children going to and from school.

Psomas’ design achieved the goals of directing motorists safely through the roundabout; ensuring drivers have good visibility of vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists; and providing safe access to residential driveways.
